British Smashed Peas with Lemon and Avocado
Ingredients
- 1 lb frozen peas
- 1/4 avocado, ripe
- 1/4 cup of water
- 1/2 lemon, juiced
- Himalayan Salt & Cracked Black Pepper, to taste
- OPTIONAL: 1 tbsp chopped mint, parsley or basil
- OPTIONAL: cayenne pepper
Preparation
Place peas and water in a small saucepan over medium heat and cook and stir often until peas are thawed and soft.
Remove from heat and mash peas with a masher or spoon until desired consistency is reached.
Add lemon juice, avocado and seasonings and enjoy!
