British Smashed Peas with Lemon and Avocado

Ingredients

  • 1 lb frozen peas
  • 1/4 avocado, ripe
  • 1/4 cup of water
  • 1/2 lemon, juiced
  • Himalayan Salt & Cracked Black Pepper, to taste
  • OPTIONAL: 1 tbsp chopped mint, parsley or basil
  • OPTIONAL: cayenne pepper

Preparation

  1. Place peas and water in a small saucepan over medium heat and cook and stir often until peas are thawed and soft.

  2. Remove from heat and mash peas with a masher or spoon until desired consistency is reached.

  3. Add lemon juice, avocado and seasonings and enjoy!
