Crispy Gingerbread Waffles for a Festive Treat

Ingredients

  • 400g flour
  • 160g sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 pack vanilla sugar
  • 3 tsp gingerbread spice
  • 80ml sparkling water
  • 400ml plant-based milk
  • 2 tbsp plant-based butter (plus more for greasing the waffle iron)
  • Vanilla ice cream, syrup, fruit (for toppings)

Preparation

  1. Preheat the waffle iron.

  2. In a mixing bowl, combine all the ingredients and mix well.

  3. Grease the waffle iron with plant-based butter.

  4. Cook the waffles in the preheated waffle iron until golden and crispy.

  5. Serve the gingerbread waffles with plant-based ice cream, vanilla sauce, or maple syrup as desired.
