Delightfully Fluffy Golden Milk Donuts
Ingredients
- 1 cup coconut milk
- 1/4 cup applesauce
- 1/2 cup coconut sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cup oat flour
- 2 tbsp coconut flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp ginger
- 1/2 tsp turmeric
- 1/2 tsp cardamom (optional)
- Pinch of black pepper
Glaze
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 4–5 tbsps coconut milk
- 1/4 tsp turmeric
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 350ºF.
Whisk together the coconut milk, applesauce, coconut sugar, and vanilla.
Add the remaining ingredients.
Mix to combine.
Pipe into a greased donut pan.
Bake for 20-22 minutes at 350ºF.
Cool.
Whisk together the glaze ingredients, adding milk slowly to create a thick but drizzle-able glaze.
Dip cooled donuts into the glaze, shaking off excess.
Chill to set, then eat.
Notes
You can also make them in a mini muffin pan, just reduce bake time to 12-15 minutes.
Golden milk inspired spices are all optional, but delicious.
