Gluten Free Yorkshire Pudding with Gravy

Ingredients

  • 80 g of gluten free all purpose flour (1/2 cup)
  • 125 g of half and half cream (1/2 cup +2 tablespoons)
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Preparation

  1. Put flour and salt in a bowl and make a well.

  2. Break the egg into it and beat with a wooden spoon, while gradually adding the cream.

  3. Mix this up at least an hour before baking.

  4. Heat the oven to 475°F.

  5. Add 1 teaspoon of high temperature oil or beef drippings from the roast to the 12 parts of the pan.

  6. Heat the oil in the oven until it is smoking hot and sizzling.

  7. Bake Yorkshires at 475°F for 10 to 12 minutes.

  8. Note: this recipe does not work well with low-fat milk.
