Vegan Homemade Cinnamon Rolls
Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour (1:1 gluten-free baking flour can be used)
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 cup melted vegan butter
- 2/3 cup + 2 tbsp. almond milk
Filling
- 1/2 cup coconut sugar
- 1 tbsp. cinnamon
- 1 & 1/2 tbsp. melted vegan butter
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 350F and grease an 8x8 baking dish.
In a bowl, whisk together the flour and baking powder. Then, stir in the melted butter and milk.
Sprinkle a small amount of flour on a surface and roll the dough into a rectangle.
In another bowl, stir together the filling ingredients until well combined. Spread the filling over the dough, covering it completely.
Roll up the dough and cut it into 6 cinnamon rolls.
Place the cinnamon rolls in the greased baking dish and bake for 25 minutes.
Optional: Serve with a store-bought frosting.
