Avocado and Mushroom Toast

Ingredients

  • some oil
  • 1-2 cups sliced mushrooms
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon dark soy sauce
  • black pepper to taste
  • chili flakes to taste
  • herbs of choice
  • 1 avocado
  • lemon juice to taste
  • salt to taste

Preparation

  1. Toast bread slices

  2. In a skillet, heat some oil and add 1-2 cups of sliced mushrooms.

  3. Add 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder and 1 tablespoon dark soy sauce, then cook on medium heat for 8-10 minutes or until mushrooms are caramelized.

  4. Season the mushrooms with black pepper, chili flakes, and herbs of your choice.

  5. Meanwhile, mash an avocado in a bowl and season with lemon juice, salt, and pepper to taste.

  6. Serve the mushroom mixture and avocado mash on the toasted bread
