Baked Cinnamon Rolls with Filling and Glaze
Ingredients
Dough
- 1 cup warm milk
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon instant yeast
- 3 tablespoons corn oil
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons powdered milk
Glazing
- 1 egg yolk
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
Filling
- 1/2 cup softened butter
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 2 tablespoons cinnamon
- 1/2 cup sugar
Decoration
- Chopped almonds
Preparation
In a bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast and let it sit until foamy.
Add corn oil, egg, vanilla extract, flour, baking powder, salt, and powdered milk, then knead into a smooth dough.
Cover and let the dough rise in a warm place until doubled in size.
Roll out the dough into a rectangle on a floured surface.
Spread the filling mixture evenly over the dough.
Roll up the dough tightly and cut into slices.
Place the slices in a greased baking pan and let them rise again until puffy.
Brush the tops with the glazing mixture.
Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
After baking, sprinkle with chopped almonds for decoration.
