Baked Cinnamon Rolls with Filling and Glaze

Ingredients

Dough

  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon instant yeast
  • 3 tablespoons corn oil
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons powdered milk

Glazing

  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

Filling

  • 1/2 cup softened butter
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoons cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup sugar

Decoration

  • Chopped almonds

Preparation

  1. In a bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast and let it sit until foamy.

  2. Add corn oil, egg, vanilla extract, flour, baking powder, salt, and powdered milk, then knead into a smooth dough.

  3. Cover and let the dough rise in a warm place until doubled in size.

  4. Roll out the dough into a rectangle on a floured surface.

  5. Spread the filling mixture evenly over the dough.

  6. Roll up the dough tightly and cut into slices.

  7. Place the slices in a greased baking pan and let them rise again until puffy.

  8. Brush the tops with the glazing mixture.

  9. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.

  10. After baking, sprinkle with chopped almonds for decoration.
