Chocolate Chip Waffles

Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1.5 cups milk
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For serving

  • Honey
  • Fruits

Preparation

  1. Heat the waffle iron to medium heat. Spray a little oil spray on the iron. Flip the iron to the other side to heat as well. It must be very hot when baking the waffle.

  2. In a deep bowl, put the flour, chocolate chips, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon. Mix the ingredients to combine.

  3. In a deep bowl or measuring cup, put the milk, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla. Using a hand whisk, mix the materials until they combine and homogenize completely.

  4. Pour the milk mixture over the flour mixture. Mix with the whisk until you get a homogeneous and thick mixture.

  5. Pour some waffle batter onto the iron to fill it. Close the iron on the waffle mixture. Wait for a minute or two, then open the iron and check the bottom of the waffle pieces until they become golden. Close the iron and flip to the other side until the waffle pieces become golden.

  6. Serve the waffle immediately with honey and fruits.
