Delicious Homemade Cinnamon Rolls

Ingredients

Dough

  • 1 1/2 cups warm water
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons instant yeast
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 3 1/4 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Filling

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 2 tablespoons light brown sugar

Preparation

  1. Sift the flour and salt

  2. In a mixer bowl, place the water, yeast, and sugar, and let it sit for a few minutes

  3. Add the flour and oil, and knead for a few minutes to get a smooth dough

  4. Place the dough in an oiled bowl, cover it, and let it rise for one hour until doubled in size

  5. Prepare a large baking tray and oil it

  6. Cut the dough into approximately 2-inch balls, place them in the tray spaced apart, and oil them

  7. Cover the dough and let it rest for a few minutes

  8. Prepare a cake mold with a hole in the middle, preferably deep, and oil it

  9. For the filling, in a bowl, mix the sugar and cinnamon

  10. Take a dough ball, coat it well in the sugar-cinnamon mixture, and place it in the mold and repeat with all balls

  11. Cover the mold and let it rise until doubled in size

  12. To the remaining sugar-cinnamon mixture, add the light brown sugar and melted butter, mix, and pour it over the dough

  13. Preheat the oven to 180°C, bake for 25-30 minutes, remove from the oven, and immediately invert onto a serving plate
