Delicious Homemade Cinnamon Rolls
Ingredients
Dough
- 1 1/2 cups warm water
- 1 1/2 teaspoons instant yeast
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 3 1/4 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Filling
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 2 tablespoons light brown sugar
Preparation
Sift the flour and salt
In a mixer bowl, place the water, yeast, and sugar, and let it sit for a few minutes
Add the flour and oil, and knead for a few minutes to get a smooth dough
Place the dough in an oiled bowl, cover it, and let it rise for one hour until doubled in size
Prepare a large baking tray and oil it
Cut the dough into approximately 2-inch balls, place them in the tray spaced apart, and oil them
Cover the dough and let it rest for a few minutes
Prepare a cake mold with a hole in the middle, preferably deep, and oil it
For the filling, in a bowl, mix the sugar and cinnamon
Take a dough ball, coat it well in the sugar-cinnamon mixture, and place it in the mold and repeat with all balls
Cover the mold and let it rise until doubled in size
To the remaining sugar-cinnamon mixture, add the light brown sugar and melted butter, mix, and pour it over the dough
Preheat the oven to 180°C, bake for 25-30 minutes, remove from the oven, and immediately invert onto a serving plate
