Basic Yeast Dough for Pastries

Ingredients

  • 5 cups flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons instant yeast
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups warm water
  • 1/2 cup oil

Preparation

  1. In a food processor, place two cups of flour with the salt, sugar, yeast, and water, and knead until the mixture holds together.

  2. Cover it and leave it in a warm place for ten minutes until the dough ferments.

  3. Add the remaining three cups of flour and the oil.

  4. Knead the ingredients on low speed for 4 to 5 minutes until the ingredients mix well.

  5. Place the dough in a bowl, cover it with plastic wrap, and let it rest for 30 minutes.
