Matcha and Rose Buckwheat Waffles
Ingredients
- 1 cup gluten-free buckwheat waffle mix
- 1 cup plus 1 tablespoon plant milk
- 1 tablespoon matcha green tea
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup
- 1 tablespoon avocado oil
Flax egg
- 1 tablespoon ground flax seed
- 3 tablespoons water
Preparation
Whisk together 1 tablespoon ground flax seed and 3 tablespoons water in a small bowl, then let it sit for 5 minutes to thicken.
Blend all the ingredients, including the prepared flax egg, until smooth.
Cook the batter in a waffle maker according to the manufacturer's instructions.
Top the waffles with banana slices, rose petals, and a drizzle of maple syrup.
Serve with a matcha latte for extra matcha flavor.
