Matcha and Rose Buckwheat Waffles

Ingredients

  • 1 cup gluten-free buckwheat waffle mix
  • 1 cup plus 1 tablespoon plant milk
  • 1 tablespoon matcha green tea
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon avocado oil

Flax egg

  • 1 tablespoon ground flax seed
  • 3 tablespoons water

Preparation

  1. Whisk together 1 tablespoon ground flax seed and 3 tablespoons water in a small bowl, then let it sit for 5 minutes to thicken.

  2. Blend all the ingredients, including the prepared flax egg, until smooth.

  3. Cook the batter in a waffle maker according to the manufacturer's instructions.

  4. Top the waffles with banana slices, rose petals, and a drizzle of maple syrup.

  5. Serve with a matcha latte for extra matcha flavor.
