Foolproof Oreo Tart with Sinister Dark Center
Ingredients
Crust
- 2 cups almond flour
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cacao powder
- 1/4 cup melted coconut oil
- 3 tbsp maple syrup
- 1/2 tsp fine sea salt
- 1/2 tsp charcoal powder (for color)
Filling
- 1 1/2 cups coconut milk
- 220g dark chocolate
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp fine sea salt
- Maple syrup (optional)
Preparation
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Use a large bowl to mix the crust ingredients.
Press the crust into the bottom of an 8-inch tart pan. Make sure it is evenly distributed.
Bake for 12 mins (or until it feels dry and firm)
Let it cool on a wire rack.
Boil coconut milk on top of a stove until it simmers.
Temper the dark chocolate in milk for 30 secs. Stir until you get a smooth velvety mixture. Mix in vanilla & salt.
Pour the filling into the crust and smooth. Use a spoon to even out the top layer.
Pop it in the fridge for 2 hours (or when it is set)
Serve chilled slices of tart with flaky sea salt sprinkled on top!
