Vegan Creme Brulee

Ingredients

  • 400 ml coconut milk
  • 250 ml vegan cream (can be coconut cream or soy cream & does not need to be whipped cream) or instead of using vegan cream you can also use 200g of silken tofu instead
  • 3 tablespoons coconut sugar
  • 1 package vegan Pudding powder (usually found in grocery stores, look at the ingredients to see if it's vegan)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (You'll need a flambé burner or something similar to caramelize the sugar)

Preparation

  1. First, mix 50ml of coconut milk with the pudding powder together

  2. Set aside

  3. In a pot mix together the rest of the milk, the vegan cream, the sugar and the vanilla extract and let it cook

  4. While it's cooking for a bit make sure to stir it often so that the mixture doesn't stick to the bottom of the pot

  5. Now combine together the first mixture with the vegan cream etc

  6. Mixture

  7. Over low heat let everything cook until the mixture obtains a harder texture or consistency

  8. Now, spread the mixture evenly on 3 to 4 cups/bowls and sprinkle a bit of sugar on top, use the flambé burner to caramelize the sugar et voila! Here you have a delicious VEGAN TREAT
