Vegan Marble Cake
Ingredients
- 320g all purpose flour
- 20g starch
- 185g date sugar
- 15g baking powder
- 300g vanilla soy milk
- 145g coconut oil
- 10g lemon juice (or squeeze half a fresh lemon)
- 20g cacao powder
Preparation
In a bowl mix together the flour, sugar, starch and baking powder
Whisk it all together
Next, add the milk to it as well as the oil and lemon juice
Give it a good whisk again until everyting is well combined
Do not whisk for too long
Next, you need to use a cake mould and grease it with a bit of vegan butter to avoid sticking to the mould
Add 3/4 of the cake batter to the mould
Now, add the cacao powder to the left over 1/4 of the cake batter
Mix together and add it on top of the other cake batter in the mould
To obtain the marble cake shape, use a fork and stir the batter from the bottom to the top in order to create a wave like shape while using the fork
Now, just place the cake in the oven at 180C° for 30-35 minutes until done (toothpick test)
