Stroganoff

Ingredients

  • 500g rump steak
  • butter
  • pan
  • 250g sliced mushrooms
  • 300ml pot of sour cream

Preparation

  1. I dice a small onion and soften it in a tbsp butter. When they are nice and translucent I tip them into a dish, add another tbsp of butter to the pan and cook 250g sliced mushrooms then tip those into the dish too. The steak is then fried off in a tsp olive oil. When it's all cooked and browned I tip all the onions and mushrooms back in, add 2 tbsp sweet smokey paprika and stir through to coat everything. Then I add a 300ml pot of sour cream, stir and heat through. Then it's ready to serve

  2. Tonight I served it with buckwheat groats, I had 50g cooked weight with mine. Just fancied a change from cauliflower rice
