Thai Fishless Cakes

Ingredients

  • potatoes: 4 boiled
  • semolina: 1/2 c
  • nutritional yeast: 2 t
  • soya sauce: 1 t
  • salt: 2 t
  • oil for frying
  • for thai paste:
  • soaked red chilles: 6
  • bird eye chillies: 2
  • garlic: 3
  • ginger: 1 inch
  • lime leaves: 2
  • lemongrass: 1 t
  • coriander stems: 1 t
  • spring onions: 2
  • shallots: 2
  • nori: 1 t (optional)
  • coriander powder: 1 t
  • cumin powder: 1/2 t
  • pepper powder: 1/2 t

Preparation

  1. Make a paste by grinding the listed ingredients together

  2. Mix 2 T paste with the other listed ingredients

  3. Shape into cakes and fry in sesame/vegetable oil till crispy
