15 Minute Chicken Parm Sub
Ingredients
- 2 teaspoons Parmesan
- 1 teaspoon cornmeal
- Pinch dried oregano
- 1 raw boneless, skinless chicken breast (3 to 4 ounces)
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
- 1 100 percent whole wheat bun
- 1/4 cup marinara sauce
- 1 slice Swiss cheese
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
In a small bowl, combine Parmesan, cornmeal, and dried oregano.
Rub the chicken breast with olive oil and coat it with the Parmesan mixture.
Place the coated chicken breast on a sheet tray and bake it until cooked through, about 12 minutes. Remove from the oven.
Switch the oven to broil. Place the cooked chicken breast on a bun and top it with marinara sauce and Swiss cheese.
Place the assembled sub in the oven and broil until the cheese is melted, approximately 2 more minutes.
