Chickpea Curry for Tea

Ingredients

  • 1 heaped tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • 1 tsp mixed herbs
  • 1 tbsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp chilli powder
  • 1 tin chopped tomatoes
  • 4 big tbsp plain yoghurt
  • a big splash of coconut milk or sub for water
  • 2 tins chickpeas, drained

Preparation

  1. Fry the onion for five minutes

  2. Add the garlic and fry for one more minute

  3. Add the chickpeas and spices to the pan. Mix together

  4. Add the remaining ingredients to the pan. Mix together and then leave to simmer on a medium to high heat for ten minutes

  5. Optional. Add some spinach just before serving. Enjoy!
