Chilli-Con-Carne

Ingredients

  • 1) If frozen soak the meat free mince for 5mins then drain, rinse and squeeze out any water (this makes the mince more firm and beef like?) -
  • 2) lightly fry the mince in 1tbsp of olive oil for 2-3mins
  • 3) add one diced onion and cook for 2-3mins -
  • 4) Then stir in a dry chilli mix seasoning and add 1 tin of chopped tomatoes -
  • 5) then add a can of kidney beans (in chilli sauce ideally) and a can of black beans (rinse and drain first) -
  • 6) add a splash of water if it’s too thick and season with salt and pepper then let simmer for 15mins! Done

  • 1) peel and boil some potatoes until soft then mash them with a masher (add some plant based butter and a splash of plant based milk to make it nice and creamy mate - and a tbsp of nutritional yeast for a cheesy sensation
