Easy Saucy Ramen Noodles
Ingredients
- 2 (70g each) uncooked ramen bricks or noodles of choice
- Spring onions & sesame seeds, for topping
Sauce
- 1/2 cup room temperature water
- 3-4 tbsp soy sauce, adjust according to desired taste
- 1.5-2 tbsp corn starch*
- 2-3 tbsp maple syrup or other liquid sweetener, adjust according to desired sweetness
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1/4 tsp ground pepper
- 1/2 tbsp sesame oil
Preparation
Mix all the sauce ingredients until well incorporated.
Boil water and add the ramen or other noodles of choice, cooking until chewy or half-cooked.
While the noodles are cooking, heat a pan and add the sauce, then simmer over medium heat.
Add the noodles to the sauce, mix well, and cook over medium-high heat until the noodles absorb the sauce and it thickens. Enjoy while hot.
