Green Goodness Pesto Pasta

Ingredients

  • 160-200g pasta
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 2/3 cup packed fresh basil
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1/3 cup fresh frozen garden peas
  • 1tbs nutritional yeast
  • juice of half a lemon
  • 2tbs water

Preparation

  1. Boil water, cook pasta, and steam broccoli florets over the boiling water in a sieve until slightly soft, then rinse broccoli in cold water immediately.

  2. Blend basil, garlic, peas, nutritional yeast, lemon juice, and water until smooth to make pesto.

  3. Mix the cooked pasta, broccoli, and pesto together and serve.
