Homemade Hummus with Garlic Lemon and Tahini
Ingredients
- 400g can of chickpeas
- 1 or 2 cloves of garlic
- juice of half a lemon
- 1.5 tablespoons tahini
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- salt
Preparation
Drain a 400g can of chickpeas and save the water (aquafaba) for other uses, then place the chickpeas into the blender without blending yet.
Add 1 or 2 cloves of garlic, based on how garlicky you want it.
Add the juice of half a lemon.
Add 1.5 tablespoons of tahini.
Add 1 tablespoon of olive oil.
Season with salt.
Blend until smooth.
Serve with chili oil and flakes on top, or use harissa or paprika if available for extra flavor.
