Meatball Pasta Bake

Ingredients

  • 1 bag of frozen meatballs
  • roughly 300-400g pasta
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 pepper, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, diced
  • 400g tomato passata
  • 1 tsp chilli powder
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1/2 tsp chilli flakes
  • 1 tbsp black pepper
  • a splash of plant milk

Preparation

  1. Pop the meatballs in a dish big enough for the pasta bake to be cooked in. Cook them according to the pack instructions

  2. Pop the pasta in a pan of hot water and cook according to the pack instructions

  3. Whist the pasta and meatballs are cooking, add the onion and pepper to a pan and cook for roughly five minutes

  4. Add the garlic to the pan and cook for another minute

  5. Add the herbs and spices to the pan, along with the tomato passata and milk. Mix together and simmer on a low heat for a few minutes

  6. Once the pasta is cooked, drain the pan and then add to the dish that the meatballs were cooked in. Then, tip in the sauce and mix together

  7. Optional) Top with grated cheese

  8. Pop in the oven for 10-15 minutes in 190 degrees
