Delicious Mushroom Bazi with Spices
Ingredients
- 300g button mushrooms
- 1 large onion
- 2-3 tbsp oil
- 1 tsp salt (adjust to taste)
- 3 green chillies
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp curry powder
- 1/2 tsp coriander powder
- 1/3 tsp chilli powder (optional)
- fresh coriander for garnish
Preparation
Finely slice the onion and button mushrooms.
Heat the oil in a large pan, once hot add the onion and salt, saute until soft and translucent. Add in the green chillies and fry for 2 minutes.
Next add the ground spices (take care not to use too much turmeric powder, as it can spoil the taste). Fry the spices out for a few minutes.
Add the sliced mushrooms, mix well and then cover to cook through. The mushrooms will release liquid, so uncover and stir to allow it to evaporate.
Once the mushrooms are cooked and most of the moisture has evaporated, garnish with coriander and serve immediately. Enjoy!
