Quick Saucy Ramen Noodles

Ingredients

  • 2 uncooked ramen bricks or noodles of choice (70g each)
  • Spring onions for topping
  • Sesame seeds for topping

Sauce

  • 1/2 cup room temperature water
  • 3-4 tablespoons soy sauce, adjust to taste
  • 1.5-2 tablespoons corn starch
  • 2-3 tablespoons maple syrup or other liquid sweetener, adjust to desired sweetness
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground pepper
  • 1/2 tablespoon sesame oil

Preparation

  1. Mix all the sauce ingredients until well incorporated.

  2. Boil water and add in the ramen or other noodles of choice and half cook or cook until chewy.

  3. While the noodles are cooking, heat a pan and add in the sauce, then leave to simmer over medium heat.

  4. Add in the noodles and mix in sauce, then cook over medium high heat until the noodles absorb the sauce and sauce thickens. Enjoy while hot.
