Style Beef Skewers
Ingredients
- 1 x 250g pouch of merchant gourmet korean-style grains
- 250g of sirloin steak
- 2 cloves garlic, finely grated
- 1 inch piece of ginger, finely grated
- 50 ml soy sauce
- 1tsp sesame oil
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp sesame seeds
- 1/4 tsp fine red chilli pepper flakes
- 2 spring onions
Preparation
Freeze the steak for 30 minutes
It makes it so much easier to cut thinly
Prep all the other ingredients whilst the beef is chilling, then when ready take the beef out of the freezer and slice thinly on the diagonal
Mix the ginger, garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, sugar, sesame seeds and chilli together, then add the beef and marinade for at least an hour
When you’re ready to eat, heat a frying pan or wok over a high heat and flash fry the beef for about 6 minutes, stirring constantly, before adding the spring onions in at the end
Heat the korean-style grains according to pack instructions, then plate alongside the korean style beef
