The Kraut & Sprout Sammie

Ingredients

  • Blacken your halved brussel sprouts by putting them in a non-stick pan and forgetting about them for at least 10 minutes. Remember to add water once you see some smoke, then promptly forget about them for another 5 min. Butter a slice of bread with @countrycrock vegan spread, put it on your panini maker, add a layer of blackened brussels, a layer of @clevelandkitchen beet kraut, and a few slices of @daiyafoods vegan cheddar. Put on the top layer of buttered bread and press the panini maker down. You can also make this in a non-stick skillet
  • Sauerkraut has a long fridge life and it's a good probiotic. The best way to stay healthy is to fuel your body with real food. Keep things simple and nutritious. Eat variety. Eat color. Eat well
