Vegan Honey BBQ Tofu

Ingredients

  • 1 block (450g) firm tofu
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
  • 2 tablespoons agave syrup or maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons oil

Preparation

  1. Cut tofu into bite-sized triangle pieces.

  2. Coat tofu with cornstarch.

  3. Fry tofu in hot oil until lightly crispy on all sides and set aside.

Sauce

  1. Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a pan.

  2. Add agave syrup and BBQ sauce, stir until reduced to a sticky consistency with bubbles.

  3. Mix in the crispy tofu pieces until they are all coated.
