Alkaline Mushroom Burgers with Seamoss BBQ Sauce
Ingredients
Mushroom burgers
- crimini mushrooms
- cooked chickpeas
- red onion
- red bell pepper
- onion powder
- dried oregano
- dried basil
- cayenne pepper
- sea salt
- fresh dill
- spelt flour
Bbq sauce
- plum tomatoes
- red onion
- date syrup
- seamoss gel
- cloves
- onion powder
- cayenne pepper
- sea salt
Preparation
Burger
Pulse everything in a food processor until well combined.
Add more flour if the mixture is too sticky.
Take pieces of mixture with your hands, form it into desired shape and bake it in a heated skillet with grapeseed oil for 5-6 minutes on each side until browned.
Sauce
Blend everything in a blender, except for the seamoss gel.
Add it to a pot and heat it up until bubbles start to form.
Stir in the seamoss gel.
Take off the heat and serve with the patties.
