Alkaline Mushroom Burgers with Seamoss BBQ Sauce

Ingredients

Mushroom burgers

  • crimini mushrooms
  • cooked chickpeas
  • red onion
  • red bell pepper
  • onion powder
  • dried oregano
  • dried basil
  • cayenne pepper
  • sea salt
  • fresh dill
  • spelt flour

Bbq sauce

  • plum tomatoes
  • red onion
  • date syrup
  • seamoss gel
  • cloves
  • onion powder
  • cayenne pepper
  • sea salt

Preparation

Burger

  1. Pulse everything in a food processor until well combined.

  2. Add more flour if the mixture is too sticky.

  3. Take pieces of mixture with your hands, form it into desired shape and bake it in a heated skillet with grapeseed oil for 5-6 minutes on each side until browned.

Sauce

  1. Blend everything in a blender, except for the seamoss gel.

  2. Add it to a pot and heat it up until bubbles start to form.

  3. Stir in the seamoss gel.

  4. Take off the heat and serve with the patties.
