Baked Aloo Tuk Potato Snack
Ingredients
- Potatoes
- Oil
- Salt
- Red chilli powder
- Chaat masala
- Dried kadi patta (crushed)
- Garlic Powder (optional)
- Jeera powder (optional)
Preparation
Boil potatoes with the skin on. If potatoes are big, cut them into 4 pieces; if using baby potatoes, keep them whole. Do not remove the skin.
Place the boiled potatoes on a baking tray lined with baking paper, ensuring they are spaced apart.
Smash each potato lightly using a spoon or your palm, just enough to open them up slightly.
Brush each smashed potato with oil.
Mix all the dry ingredients together well, then spread the mixture evenly over all the potatoes.
Turn the potatoes over and repeat the process: brush with oil and apply the dry mixture again.
Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 15-18 minutes, or a little longer if you prefer them crispier.
Remove from the oven and enjoy.
