Crisp Spinach Kale Fritters

Ingredients

  • chickpea flour - 1 cup ( besan )
  • rice flour - 2tbsp
  • turmeric powder- 1/ 2 tsp
  • pomegranate seeds- 1/2 tsp
  • spinach leaves - 250 grams rinsed and chopped in halves
  • salt to taste
  • mango powder - 1tsp
  • black pepper- 1/2 tsp
  • cumin powder- 1/2 tsp
  • red onions- 2 ( thinly cut )
  • mustard oil for frying
  • water - 1/2 cup or may be more

Preparation

  1. In a bowl mix all the dry ingredients along with the water , make a thick consistency batter

  2. Beat it with a wisk or use hands

  3. Once your batter is ready add onions , spinach and mix well into the batter

  4. Heat mustard oil at high flame, once it reaches to its smoking point, reduce your flame and let the temperature come down a bit , then add batter into the oil and deep fry your pakoras until light brown and crispy

  5. Once done serve it with your corriander chutney and enjoy
