Crispy and Delicious Masoor Dal Vadas

Ingredients

  • 1 cup masoor dal
  • 1 small onion
  • 1/2 inch ginger
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • 2 green chillies
  • 10 curry leaves
  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • asafoetida
  • salt to taste
  • oil for frying

Preparation

  1. Soak the masoor dal for 20 minutes.

  2. Drain the dal well and make a coarse paste using a food processor instead of a blender.

  3. Add all the ingredients to the paste.

  4. Form the mixture into rounds.

  5. Fry the rounds in hot oil until golden and crispy.
