Jack Daniel’s Sesame Chicken Burger

Ingredients

Chicken

  • boneless and skinless chicken thighs
  • egg
  • panko breadcrumbs
  • salt
  • pepper
  • garlic powder
  • canola oil

Glaze

  • onion
  • garlic
  • 200ml pineapple juice
  • 3tbsp teriyaki sauce
  • 1tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp Jack Daniel’s
  • 3tbsp lemon juice
  • 200g brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
  • chilli flakes
  • 200ml water

Serving

  • sesame seeds
  • toasted bun
  • salad
  • cheese

Preparation

  1. Dip the chicken thighs in egg and then in a dry mix of panko breadcrumbs, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.

  2. Fry the chicken in canola oil until crispy on both sides and cooked in the middle.

  3. Fry off some onion and garlic for a few minutes.

  4. Add 200ml pineapple juice, 3tbsp teriyaki sauce, 1tbsp soy sauce, 2 tbsp Jack Daniel’s, 3tbsp lemon juice, 200g brown sugar, 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper, chilli flakes, and 200ml water.

  5. Let the mixture simmer until it becomes a nice thick glaze.

  6. Coat the cooked chicken in the glaze and sprinkle on some sesame seeds.

  7. Serve on a toasted bun with some salad and cheese.
