Quick and Easy Pea Fritters

Ingredients

  • 200g frozen peas, defrosted
  • 75g gram (chickpea) flour
  • 75ml water
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • Salt and pepper to taste (avoid salt for under 2’s)
  • Oil for frying

Preparation

  1. Mix all the ingredients except the oil together in a bowl

  2. Heat a little oil in a frying pan

  3. Take 1 tablespoon of mix at a time, place in the hot frying pan and flatten into a fritter shape

  4. Fry for a couple of minutes on a low heat and then flip

  5. Cook on the other side for a couple of minutes until cooked through

  6. Serve right away with avocado chutney

  7. Sprinkle chilli flakes or slices for adults to serve
