Pizza Crust

  • 1 tsp pizza dough yeast
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • vegetable oil

  1. In a large bowl combine yeast, sugar and warm water

  2. Allow it to sit for a few minutes and once you notice the yeast beginning to bloom, add the water

  3. I like to use chopsticks to stir it together until it is just combined but still a shaggy dough

  4. Lightly flour your work surface and turn the dough out onto it

  5. Knead about 12 times, until the dough is all one smooth and soft ball

  6. Rinse out your large bowl, add a bit of oil to it and place the dough in it

  7. Turn it upside down so the entire dough ball is covered with a thin layer of oil

  8. This will stop it from sticking to the bowl when it's time to spread it onto your pizza pan!

  9. Cover with a clean dish towel and place in the oven for 45 minutes with only the light on

  10. This acts as a proofing drawer! just make sure no one else comes along and turns your oven on!
