Spicy Beer Battered Cauliflower Appetizer

Ingredients

  • 1 floret cauliflower cut into bite size pieces
  • Water
  • Oil for deep frying

Marinade

  • 1 T Vegenaise
  • 1/2 T Garam masala
  • 1 t Cumin powder
  • 2 t Coriander powder
  • 1 t Amchur powder

Batter

  • 2 T Flour
  • 3 T Corn flour
  • 1 t Salt
  • 2 t Pepper
  • 1/2 T Turmeric
  • 2 t Chilly powder
  • 1 C Beer or cider

Preparation

  1. Bring a pot of water to boil and add cauliflower. Cook for 4-5 minutes and drain.

  2. Allow cauliflower to completely cool and coat in marinade ingredients. Place in the fridge for 20-30 minutes.

  3. Make a thin batter by mixing all the listed ingredients.

  4. Dip cauliflower in batter and fry in olive oil.
