Pan-Fried BBQ Tofu with Glaze

Ingredients

  • 1 serving extra firm tofu
  • 1-2 tablespoons vegan BBQ sauce
  • 1/2 tablespoon avocado oil

Preparation

  1. Slice tofu into slices about 1/4 inch thick, lay them between two cutting boards and a clean kitchen towel, place a heavy object on top and press for about 10 minutes to remove excess liquid.

  2. Heat oil in a non-stick pan over medium heat and fry tofu slices for about 5 minutes on each side until browned and crispy.

  3. Lower the heat and pour BBQ sauce over the tofu to glaze the slices, then cook for an additional minute on each side.
