Extra Creamy Classic Hummus
Ingredients
- 2 cans (15 oz) organic chickpeas
- Chickpea juice from the can
- 1/2 to 1 cup good quality tahini
- Juice from one large lemon
- 3-4 cloves garlic
- 1-2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp pepper
Preparation
Drain one can of chickpeas and reserve the liquid from the second can.
Combine all ingredients, including the reserved chickpea juice, in a blender.
Blend until smooth and creamy.
Plate the hummus in a shallow bowl and decorate with chopped purple onions, roasted chickpeas, cherry tomatoes, parsley, lemon wedges, and crushed red pepper.
Tips
Enjoy with warm pita bread, favorite veggies, or as a spread in wraps and other dishes.
