Saffron Golden Milk Drink

Ingredients

  • 1 cup plant-based milk (options: coconut, oat, almond)
  • 0.5 tsp ground turmeric
  • 0.5 tsp ground ginger
  • 0.25 tsp ground cardamom
  • 15-20 strands saffron (about 0.1g)
  • pinch of black pepper
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup or agave syrup

Preparation

  1. Pour the milk into a pot on medium heat.

  2. Crumble the dry saffron strands with your fingers and add to the milk together with the rest of the spices.

  3. Let simmer for 2-3 minutes and take off the heat.

  4. Stir in the syrup, pour into cups.
