Utterly Delicious Sweet Potato Patties
Ingredients
- 500 gm boiled sweet potatoes
- 1 finely chopped small ginger knob
- Finely chopped onion
- Some freshly chopped chillies
- Handful of finely chopped coriander
- 1 tsp aamchur powder
- Salt as per taste
- Brown bread crumbs from 2 bread slices
- 2-3 tbs oil
Garnish
- Chaat masala
- Pomegranate seeds
Preparation
Take water in the steamer and place a strainer in it.
Keep sweet potatoes in the strainer, cover the lid and cook for 15-20 minutes on medium heat.
Peel the sweet potatoes and mash them nicely in a mixing bowl.
Add a finely chopped small ginger knob.
Add finely chopped onion.
Add some freshly chopped chillies.
Add a handful of finely chopped coriander.
Add 1 tsp aamchur powder.
Add salt as per taste.
Add brown bread crumbs from 2 bread slices.
Combine everything together.
Make small size patties from the mixture.
Heat up the pan and pour 2-3 tbs oil.
Flip and cook both sides until golden brown.
Enjoy the sweet potato patties.
Tips
Alternatively, use lemon juice instead of aamchur powder.
For bread crumbs, you can use rice flour, crushed sabudana powder, or poha instead.
