Baked Vegan Cauliflower Wings
Ingredients
- 1 head cauliflower
Batter
- 100-150g flour
- 150-200ml water or plant-based milk
- 2 tsp garlic powder
- 2 tsp onion powder
- 2 tsp turmeric
- 1 tsp salt
- pepper
Glaze
- 40g vegan butter
- BBQ sauce to taste
- hot sauce or chili flakes to taste
Sour cream dip
- 3-4 tbsp vegan Greek yogurt or skyr
- frozen or fresh herbs (parsley, chives, dill)
- 1.5 tsp salt
- pepper to taste
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- lemon juice to taste
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 230°C or 450°F
Mix all batter ingredients together until slightly runny.
Coat the cauliflower florets in batter and place them on a tray lined with parchment paper.
Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden and crispy.
Melt the butter and combine it with BBQ sauce and hot sauce or chili flakes.
Remove the cauliflower from the oven and coat it with the glaze.
Bake again for another 10-15 minutes until golden brown.
Dip
Mix all dip ingredients together to taste.
