Banana Cookie Dough Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1/2 tbsp almond butter
  • 1/2 tbsp chocolate chips
  • 1 chopped date
  • 1/2 cup ice
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1/2 cup plain Lifeway kefir
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • sprinkle of salt

Optional

  • scoop of vanilla protein

Preparation

  1. Ensure the banana is chopped into coins and frozen. Chop the date into small pieces.

  2. In a blender, combine all ingredients and blend.

  3. Adjust the texture by adding more liquid or ice depending on preference.

  4. Enjoy topped with additional nut butter or gluten-free chocolate granola. Feel free to add vegetables like chopped spinach or cooked cauliflower rice.
