Breakfast Pie with Pasta Pastry, Sausages, Bacon, Beans, and Poached Egg


  • Pasta pastry (homemade or store-bought)
  • 2 pre-cooked Lincolnshire sausages
  • Pre-cooked plant-based bacon
  • Baked beans
  • Poached egg
  • Fried mushrooms
  • Cherry tomatoes
  • Wild rocket


  1. Preheat the oven to the temperature specified for the pasta pastry.

  2. Roll out the pasta pastry and use it to line a pie dish.

  3. Cut the pre-cooked sausages and plant-based bacon into bite-sized pieces and spread them over the pastry.

  4. Pour the baked beans over the sausage and bacon mixture.

  5. Bake the pie in the oven until the pastry is golden brown and the filling is heated through.

  6. While the pie is baking, fry the mushrooms and cherry tomatoes in a separate pan.

  7. Poach an egg.

  8. Once the pie is done, remove it from the oven and top it with the poached egg and the fried mushrooms and cherry tomatoes.

  9. Serve with wild rocket on the side.
