Rajma and Gahat Dal with Rice and Chutney
Ingredients
- Rajma and Gahat Dal
- Water
- 1/2 teaspoon mustard oil
- Chopped ginger
- Chopped onions
- Green chillies
- Tomatoes
- 1/2 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1/4 teaspoon red chilli powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
- Coriander leaves for garnish
Preparation
Boil the Rajma and Gahat Dal in water with 1/2 teaspoon mustard oil and chopped ginger in a pressure cooker for 7-8 whistles.
Remove the boiled pulses from the cooker.
Add mustard oil to a pan, then add chopped onions, green chillies, tomatoes, and spices: 1/2 teaspoon coriander powder, 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder, 1/4 teaspoon red chilli powder, and 1/2 teaspoon garam masala. Fry them.
Add the boiled pulses to the pan and stir well for 2 minutes.
Add water, close the pressure cooker, and cook for 6-7 whistles.
Garnish with coriander leaves and serve with steamed rice and green mint chutney.
