Simple Homemade Vegan Creamy Pasta
Ingredients
- 1 cup raw cashews
- favorite noodles
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1 cup water for blending
- optional vegetables like spinach
- sea salt
- pepper
- chili flakes
Preparation
Soak 1 cup cashews overnight or in boiling water for 15 minutes, then drain.
Blend the drained cashews with 1 cup water to create cashew cream.
Cook pasta according to package instructions and drain.
Heat 1 cup marinara sauce and mix in the cashew cream, starting with 1/2 cup and adding more as needed.
Combine the sauce with the cooked noodles and stir, or add sauce directly to the noodle pot.
Optionally, mix in favorite vegetables like spinach.
Season with sea salt, pepper, and chili flakes to taste.
