Vegan Cashew Cheese Sauce with Pasta
Ingredients
- 1 cup raw cashews
- 1 cup water
- 0.25 cup nutritional yeast
- 1 tsp sea salt
- 0.5 tsp lemon juice
- 0.5 tsp turmeric, ground
- 0.3 tsp garlic powder
- 3 cups dry whole wheat elbow pasta
Preparation
Boil cashew nuts for 10 minutes, drain and rinse
Cook the pasta
Add all the cheese sauce ingredients into a blender and mix until smooth
Pour the cheese sauce over the cooked pasta. Serve with steamed kale and sprinkle some smoked paprika powder on top!
