Vegan Burgers with Hasselback Potatoes

Ingredients

Burger

  • Anamma Sverige formbarfärs
  • a little soya
  • liquid smoke
  • breadcrumbs
  • salt
  • pepper

Potato

  • firm potatoes
  • salt
  • pepper
  • thyme
  • garlic powder
  • oil
  • vegan margarine
  • breadcrumbs

Preparation

Burger

  1. Mix the burger ingredients together to form patties.

  2. Cook the patties in a skillet or bake in the oven until fully cooked.

Hasselback potato

  1. Wash the potatoes and choose a firm type with larger size.

  2. Place two chopsticks on either side of each potato to prevent cutting all the way through and make slices.

  3. Repeat with all potatoes.

  4. Add salt, pepper, thyme, garlic powder, and oil, ensuring to get into the cracks.

  5. Bake in the oven at 220°C for approximately 30 minutes, depending on size.

  6. Remove from oven, pour over a little melted vegan margarine, making sure to get into the cracks.

  7. Cover with a mixture of breadcrumbs and additional seasoning.

  8. Place parchment or aluminium foil over the potatoes and bake for another 30-35 minutes.

  9. Check on the potatoes as size may affect baking time.
