Baked Kofta with Phyllo Dough

Ingredients

  • 1 packet phyllo dough
  • 500 grams ground meat
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 red bell pepper, cubed
  • 1 cup peas
  • 1 cup grated carrot
  • 1 cup chopped mushrooms
  • 3 tablespoons parsley
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon baharat
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons oil

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C and prepare individual oven-safe dishes

  2. In a medium pot, heat the oil, add the ground meat, stir on high heat until the meat is dry, add the chopped onion, stir for 2-3 minutes until wilted, then add the spices

  3. Add the red bell pepper, peas, grated carrot, chopped mushrooms, stir, cook on low heat for 5 minutes until done, let it cool, then add the parsley

  4. Get a wide brush, brush a phyllo sheet with olive oil, place a second sheet on top and brush with oil, place a third sheet and brush, place a fourth sheet, then place the sheets in the dish with edges hanging over

  5. Fill the phyllo with the filling, fold the edges over to cover the filling, brush with oil, and bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes until golden brown
