Kofta Balls with Tahini

Ingredients

Kofta

  • 1/4 cup rice
  • 300 grams ground meat
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon mixed spices
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Tahini sauce

  • 1/2 cup tahini
  • 2 cups milk or yogurt
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup water

Preparation

  1. Mix all kofta ingredients together to form a uniform mixture.

  2. Shape the mixture into small balls.

  3. Heat oil in a skillet and fry the kofta balls until browned and cooked through.

  4. For the tahini sauce, whisk together tahini, milk or yogurt, salt, pepper, olive oil, and water until smooth and well combined.

  5. Heat the sauce in a saucepan if desired, then pour over the cooked kofta balls and serve.
