Malaysian Spiced Baked Chicken
Ingredients
- 1 chicken, cut into 4 pieces
- 1 garlic clove, ground
- 2 cm piece of ginger, ground
- 1 shallot, ground
- 4 tablespoons palm sugar
- 1 chicken bouillon cube, crushed
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 tablespoon turmeric
- 4 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon coarsely ground cumin (make your own)
- 1 tablespoon coarsely ground white cumin (make your own)
- Salt, to taste
- 3 tablespoons lime juice
- 2 tablespoons butter
Preparation
Use a sharp knife to make fine cuts on the chicken.
Mix all ingredients and apply to the chicken.
Marinate for 2 hours.
Bake in the oven at 250°C for 60 minutes.
Brush with butter after removing from the oven.
